You missed out!

Three days of celebrant creativity, inspiration and awesomeness brought to you by the Celebrants Collective

Did you know that when it comes to being a celebrant, your creativity is at the heart of EVERYTHING you do?

Creativity feeds EVERYTHING. Tapping into your celebrant creativity means:

  • Writing better scripts.
  • Crafting better social media posts.
  • Communicating more effectively with your clients.
  • Marketing yourself more authentically.
  • Delivering better ceremonies.
  • Expanding your writing skills.
  • Deepening your understanding of ceremony creation.
  • Getting creative with the ceremonies that you offer.

If this list has you nodding your head and feeling a real need to boost your basic celebrant skills, to improve the way that you write, vocalize, perform and create ceremony, AND help to improve your communication and marketing style, then read on.

Come and join us for our AMAZING three-day online event, full of fabulous session leaders and jam-packed with celebrant creativity, education and inspiration.

We've got you covered.

Three packed days of value, education and fun!

This will be the best investment in your business you could make this year. You will come away energised and raring to put everything into practice. So different from those courses you take part in that leave you feeling inadequate, with a long list of "should be doings."

Lynn Tierney

2021 workshop attendee

Because creativity is at the heart of what we do as celebrants

The more creative you are as a celebrant, the more confident you are with your practices. The more confident you are with your practices, the more you put yourself out there creatively.

Creativity creates the mother of all knock-on effects.

When you and your creativity are in full alignment, there's literally no stopping you.

You'll think differently. Write differently. Communicate differently. Market yourself differently. Talk about yourself differently. Express yourself differently.

Tapping into your creativity will open up so many areas of your celebrant business, practice and processes, helping you to be aligned and in harmony with your business.

Are you ready to get your creative juices flowing?

The Celebrant as a Creative Non-fiction Writer
with
Veronika Robinson

Making every word count is the cornerstone of the professional, creative writer’s craft. In this workshop you’ll learn how to employ several literary elements to present your facts in a creative, brilliant, inspiring, interesting and honest way.

Storytelling
with
Lonan jenkins

We've been sharing stories for as long as we've been human.
Stories have both the power to unite, entertain and educate, and to divide and spread hate.

Inside everyone is a storyteller longing to engage, empower and entertain, and a listener longing to be engaged, empowered and entertained.
In this very brief introduction, Lonan will talk through storytelling as an art form, share techniques and tips used in storytelling and look at how to apply these storytelling techniques to the role of being a celebrant.

thinking on your feet
Claire & Natasha

In this session Natasha and Claire are going to take you through a series of fun, creative tasks and challenges to do just what it says on the tin - think on your feet! Thinking on your feet is such an important part of being a celebrant and really does rely on your creative, quick-thinking skills which we know these exercises will really help with.

connecting with the audience with
Claire & Natasha

Getting your couples/families onboard with the ceremony you create for them is one thing. But how do you make sure to include the audience too? Reading the room and understanding how to better connect with the audience can be a gamechanger for how your ceremony is received. An engaged and lovingly-present audience, who feel included from the outset, can make all the difference. In this session, Natasha and Claire will take you through a series of activities and writing exercises to get you thinking about how you can make the audience feel the love too, by adding impact, intention and the right energy into your ceremonies.

Reinventing traditions:
Creative use of traditional elements in funeral and wedding ceremonies with
Rosalie kuyvenhoven

One of the amazing things about being a celebrant is that we constantly learn about new traditions and cultures. The people we work with may ask us to include elements of their heritage in the ceremony. And what’s even better: as celebrants, we have the freedom to tweak these traditional elements and make them special and meaningful to our clients.

This workshop is all about creative use of traditional elements in funeral and wedding ceremonies.

We’ll discuss typical traditional elements of Buddhist and Jewish funerals, Persian and Asian wedding traditions (and more!) and apply these in creative exercises.

You don’t need to have any knowledge of funeral and wedding rituals from across the world - Rosalie will give you anything you need to get your creative imagination flowing. You’ll be working in breakout-groups so there will be lots if opportunity to learn with and from each other.

Working Creatively with the Elements of Ceremony with river jones

As archaeological records show, ceremony has been a part of every culture throughout history. In all times, and all places, we humans have celebrated the most important moments of our lives in very special ways, usually in the context of shared belief systems. As twenty-first century celebrants serving our varied and often very secular communities, how can we work creatively with the special languages of ritual - prayer, blessings, invocations and symbolic actions - and make inventive use of these time-honoured forms in ways that feel authentic and meaningful for ourselves and our clients?  Drawing on the inspiration of the four elements - earth, air, fire and water - River will lead you through a series of creative exercises designed to help you bring more depth and magic to your ceremonies, whatever your own beliefs and those of the people you serve.

On the day: Your voice, your performance & you with
lucy brown

In this session, Lucy is going to transport you to the hour before your ceremony. Using proven vocal and mindset techniques,  she will help you to get grounded and prepare and warm up your voice, mind and body ready for ceremony. Once warmed up, you will deliver a key part of your ceremony to your celebrant colleagues and get feedback from Lucy, Claire, Natasha and your peers. This will be a fabulous session for stepping out of your comfort zone and getting constructive feedback on your ceremony delivery. We will try to include as many participants as we possibly can and you can of course attend the session without participating in the script delivery (but we hope you do!).

Crafting Bespoke Rituals with veronika robinson

This workshop will teach you how to create bespoke rituals, and choreograph and narrate with confidence, clarity and creativity.

daily Q&As with
Claire & Natasha

Inspired by what you've learned and want to discuss it? Or maybe you have a burning question you'd like to ask? This is the place to be. We'll open the floor to you at the end of each day.

Filling your creative cup with
Claire & Natasha

By nature we are creative beings. Every single one of us. As children we are most connected with our creativity but somehow for many of us, by the time we get to adulthood that creativity has been diminished. This session will help you to tap into your creativity. To dig into the creative well inside of you, through playful, fun, challenges and improvisational exercises, which will have you filling your creative cup in no time, in ways you've never imagined!

I would definitely recommend the Creative Celebrant Workshop to both new and existing celebrants. The workshop was fascinating, enriching and inspirational and I came away armed with so much knowledge and new ideas for my celebrancy career. It was worth its weight in gold in terms of stretching my imagination, developing a positive mindset and connecting with other celebrants. It was also a lot of fun!

This event was certainly value for money. The selection of speakers was varied with something for everyone. Even topics that I thought were not going to be of interest to me, turned out to be!

Glenda Procter

If you're thinking about signing up, go for it! You'll learn a lot about yourself, your style and how to make creative changes to your work.

Lynda Gibson

2021 workshop attendee

I signed up for the Creative Celebrant Workshop to learn new ways to improve our ceremonies and to innovate as celebrants. I can only rave about the Celebrants Collective and its leaders Natasha and Claire, and I had no doubt that the Creative Celebrant Workshop would be inspirational, useful and fun. I wasn't able to attend in person; I went through the video playbacks and really regretted missing them live. The sessions stoke the imagination and creativeness even of a vintage officiant like me. Guest speakers were absolutely fabulous, each an expert in their creative field whether writing, acting, performing imagery… all giving attendees new information, and alternative views for improving our craft. I personally came away with new thoughts on who I am as a celebrant, thanks to Natasha's session on Creating Impact, and I'm implementing new writing techniques that I learned from an extraordinary storytelling session held by Veronica Robinson. If you're a celebrant of any kind, this is a must attend workshop.
