The UK’s Wedding Industry Awards 2018 are shaping up to be a great opportunity for British Celebrants to get there name out there and spread the word about what they do and how well they do it.
For the first time in the awards’ history, a Celebrants’ category has been included, meaning that Celebrants can finally be recognised for their talents and passion and all that they bring to the UK wedding industry. Previously, Celebrants could only enter via the ‘Special Touches,’ category, which allowed miscellaneous ‘non-categorisable,’ wedding suppliers to enter the awards!
Award entrants have to go through a rigorous application process, which involves having previous clients answer questions about them and score them, as well as a secondary judging process involving four industry judges.
Assessed on a UK regional basis, the winner of each region will now go on to the national finals which will be held in the exclusive Cafe de Paris, in central London on Wednesday 17th January, 2018.
The ECC is pleased to announce that its very own Content Editor, Claire Bradford will be representing the South East as its winner in the national finals, as will ECC Member Justine Wykerd, who’ll be representing the West Midlands and Nicola Le Couteur Bisson, who’ll be representing the South West of England, for the Guild of Cornish Celebrants.
ECC Member Katie Keen also won a highly commended award in the South East regional finals, as did Angie Jones in the East England finals. ECC members Ruby Beech and Yvonne Beck also made it through to their regional finals too. We couldn’t be more proud of our ECC members.
Here is a full list of the regional winners who’ll be going for the national crown in January.
