ECC Members dominate the TWIA Celebrant of the Year awards

Celebrant awards, TWIA awards, TWIA Celebrant Awards, Wedding Awards, Wedding Celebrant Awards

The UK's Wedding Industry Awards 2018 are shaping up to be a great opportunity for British Celebrants to get there name out there and spread the word about what they do and how well they do it. For the first time in the awards' history, a Celebrants' category has been included, meaning that Celebrants can finally be recognised for their talents and passion and all that they bring to the UK wedding industry. Previously, Celebrants could only enter via the 'Special Touches,' category, which allowed miscellaneous 'non-categorisable,' wedding suppliers to enter the awards! Award entrants have to go through a rigorous application process, which involves having previous clients answer questions about them and score them, as well as a secondary judging process involving four industry judges. Assessed on a UK regional basis, the winner of each region will now go on to the national finals which will be held in the exclusive Cafe de Paris, in central London on Wednesday 17th January, 2018. The ECC is pleased to announce that its very own Content Editor, Claire Bradford will be representing the South East as its winner in the national finals, as will ECC Member Justine Wykerd, who'll be representing the West Midlands and Nicola Le Couteur Bisson, who'll be representing the South West of England, for the Guild of Cornish Celebrants. ECC Member Katie Keen also won a highly commended award in the South East regional finals, as did Angie Jones in the East England finals. ECC members Ruby Beech and Yvonne Beck also made it through to their regional finals too. We couldn't be more proud of our ECC members. Here is a full list of the regional winners who'll be going for the national crown in January.

North West - Louise Burns and Co - The Ceremony Company

Yorkshire & North East - King’s Celebrant Services

West Midlands - Justine from Just Celebrations

East Midlands - Jo - My Perfect Ceremony

East England - Michelle Taylor

South West - The Guild of Cornish Celebrants

South Central - Vanessa Naylor - Your Life Ceremonies South East - Claire Bradford - Creating Ceremony We're rooting for all of the amazing finalists and cannot wait to see who will be crowned the winner. The ECC will be at the awards ceremony in January and will be writing up a special awards report of all the celebrations. The award finale is open to anyone who works within the wedding industry for a night of socialising and networking with peers. Tickets are available for sale on the TWIA website.   Would you like to become an ECC Member and be part of a growing professional community, which offers ongoing career development, support, expert-led education and inspiration?
