The Bloved Hive in South London was home to the Celebrant Collective’s first European workshop, last week. Styled with creatives and wedding industry professionals in mind, the Hive was a great choice to hold the workshop. Hidden away in a trendy former biscuit Factory in Bermondsey, its quiet surroundings, stylish layout and boho charm lent itself perfectly for the Mind Your Own Business Celebrant workshop.
With Celebrants joining the workshop from Greece, Spain, and all throughout the UK, a mixture of Celebrants Collective members and non-members, it was a great day for connecting, learning and inspiring. It was long before all Celebrants were soon referring to themselves as a Cackle of Celebrants, along with other favourite, a Celebration of Celebrants.
Workshop wisdoms
The workshop was split into two parts. The first session – Get out of your way and run a business that you love, was hosted by the Celebrants’ Collective’s Content Editor, Claire Bradford. Claire drew on her 15-years experience as a life coach to help attendees to reprogram their inner voices to sound more like a best friend, cheerleader and not a negative naysayer. She helped them to identify weak areas and energy drains and showed them how to enhance positive habits and to set goals which would enable them to get the best out of themselves and their Celebrant Businesses.
The second workshop led by founder Natasha Johnson focussed on five key steps that Celebrants needed to take in order to boost their online presence. Natasha has grown her four year old, award-winning wedding blog, www.engagedandready.com so that it now attracts over 10,000 unique visitors a month to the site, and she has done so 100% organically, without spending a single penny on advertising or marketing. Her blog is now one of the top 50 wedding blogs in the UK and is the only wedding blog to focus on all things ceremony and Celebrants.
Natasha helped attendees to look at their websites in a different way and to help them to see the power that their websites have in boosting their presence online and putting their websites under the noses of the very people they would like to attract.
The feedback from some of the attendees has been incredible.
What a brilliant workshop this was; warm, welcoming, informative and inspiring. Thanks Claire Bradford and Natasha Johnson.

I have already put some of what I learnt into practice. Claire’s “what is your ‘Why?'” question and Natasha’s reminder to put fresh eyes on my website and ensure that it reflects me and has prompted a bit of a makeover (very much a ‘work in progress’ but so it should be!)

It was an excellent workshop on all levels – obviously very well prepared, put together and presented and such good value for money.
