Ten ways I can help you grow your wedding celebrant business

By Natasha Johnson

January 24, 2020

wedding celebrant, wedding celebrant business, wedding industry mentor, wedding marketing

Part of my overall 2020 vision is to show up for celebrants in more ways than ever. To offer my support, wisdom and unique insights and experiences from the world of wedding celebrancy and the wedding industry in general.

I want to help celebrants to believe in themselves and to carve out the type of career that they want to have. I want to give celebrants the tools to do it and also show them that building a celebrant business and making it thrive and prosper, needn’t be overwhelming, taxing or lead to burnout.

I’ve been a celebrant for over a decade now (see my celebrant website), and I’ve seen and experienced most scenarios as a wedding celebrant, the good, the bad and the downright ugly. From both a business point of view and from a ceremony point of view, too.

I know what it’s like to start a wedding business from scratch.
I know what it’s like to have three bookings and wonder how to get more.
I know what it’s like to work in a competitive industry, where not everyone plays fairly or nicely.
I know what it’s like when you find it hard to get wedding venues and planners on your side and make them champions of your services.
I know what it’s like to not only be a bloody good celebrant but to convince complete strangers that you are too.
I know what it’s like when you spend too much time comparing yourself to other celebrants.
I know what it’s like to feel a little lost.
I know what it’s like to mess up big time.
I know what it’s like to only have used social media for your personal life (if at all) to suddenly have to be an adept business social marketer.
I know what it’s like when you feel like you want to give up or that you’re never going to get where you want to be.
I know what it’s like when you feel alone with your worries.

There is very little that I’ve not experienced as a wedding celebrant and my 2020 is about using these experiences further, to help others.
So here are ten ways that you can learn from me (many for free). Ways that I can share my experiences with you and knowledge of the wedding industry, which you can use to motivate and shape your own business to run in the best way for you.
